Participant
  • Participant details to be completed by the parent/guardian.
  • Non members will need to complete an additional Provisional Membership Form. To help speed up the process, it is preferred that this form is completed and sent to juniorweek@wilsoniansc.org.uk prior to the start of the event.
  • Provisional Members will be automatically assigned a 'Social Membership' for the duration of the event meaning that you can enjoy the use of the club.
  • T-shirts may be provided subject to sponsorship, sizes subject to availability.
Experience
  • State highest RYA certificates held.
  • Club boats are subject to availability.

  • IMPORTANT - At least one parent or guardian (or agreed in-loco) needs to be present at the club for the duration that their participant is on the course and must not be left unattended.
  • Details of parents or guardians that can be used incase of emergency.

In Loco Parentis

  • For In Loco Parentis, list all parents or guardians who will be additionally responisble for this applicant.
  • An additional In Loco Parentis Form will be required and signed by both parties. To help speed up the process, it is preferred that this form is completed and sent to juniorweek@wilsoniansc.org.uk prior to the start of the event.

  • To enable the week to function, parents are asked to help in the galley. Please indicate which day you would prefer, and then an alternative day. Please note your first and second choice preferences, however we may not always be able to accommodate your preference.
Declaration
  • Application and full payment is required by Friday 7th August 2026
  • A deposit of £40 will secure a place.

  • I understand that the applicant is applying to take part in this course as a member, that the course will be run on a purely voluntary basis by members of the Club, and that the course fee is determined by the General Committee to cover the cost of equipment, fuel and the use of Club boats and facilities.
  • I acknowledge that both the WSC and their instructors, or others assisting with the running of the course, cannot accept responsibility for any loss, damage or injury suffered by persons and/or property, howsoever caused, arising out of or during the course or other activities whilst at this event.
  • I confirm that any dinghy, which I may provide for the course, is covered by a valid insurance policy appropriate for the circumstances in which the boat will be used (including other helmsmen). I also agree, that, in the event of damage caused to my dinghy, or any dinghy used by me during the course, responsibility will remain a matter for resolution between myself and/or the individuals or owners concerned.
  • Photography (including video) will be limited to training and club activities, for publication in social media, 31½ on WSC website. If the Club publishes images of children, no identifying information other than names will be included. Any objections are to be made by enclosing a letter with your application.
