With not a solitary boat signed on, the 2014 Chilly Willies was abandoned.  The only potential taker was relying on a borrowed boat, his own having been damaged by the Xmas winds when it fell off its trolley. The assembled duty crew scratched their heads long and hard, but could find no better explanation for the extraordinary lack of interest (read: people who had fallen off thier trollies)  than the forecast F.5-8 winds and heavy rain, which did indeed appear about an hour after the shceduled start time.
